About health insurance

Hi, I’m from Mongolia and been working in Japan. My mother lives back home when she was diagnosed with benign Thyroid 2 cancer. Considering the unreliable treatment given back home, we thought it was better to get treated here in Japan.

The Ito hospital that specializes in this area doesn’t have appointments so she’s already here and we’ll go soon.

Is there any chance my health insurance can cover some of the medical bill if she’s to be treated here? Or will everything have to be paid 100%.

Is there an approximate estimate of how much the treatment might cost?
