MUFG and Resona bank getting rid of Hanko requirement

It seems MUFG want's to get rid of the Hanko by 2024 and Resona is also allowing opening bank accounts without Hanko. Also support from the government on the way: " The shift to digital has support from Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s administration, which has drafted a bill to make more government services available online."
