Ryan Coogler And Michael B. Jordan Are Working On A Fourth Film Together

Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are reuniting for their upcoming flick, “Wrong Answer.”
The film, which is being produced both by Coogler and Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, is based on Rachel Aviv’s 2014 New Yorker article of the same title about a group of Atlanta public school teachers who participated in an elaborate 2003 standardized test cheating scandal. The film will be adapted for the screen by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
Jordan will portray math teacher Damany Lewis, who confessed to his involvement in “covert fraud” that spanned roughl half a decade. 11 teachers were later convicted of racketeering, making it the “largest cheating scandal in the nation’s history,” according to a 2015 New York Times report.
Jordan and Coogler previously teamed up for films “Fruitvale Station,” “Creed,” and the upcoming, highly anticipated film, “Black Panther.”
In 2015, Coogler told Time magazine that he sensed an instant connection to the actor after their initial meeting during the making of “Fruitvale Station.”
“I met with him and it was one of those meetings where as soon as you meet with somebody you kind of connect,” Coogler recalled. “We connected about our parents because we both have very close relationships with our parents from similar environments ― Mike’s from Newark, I’m from the East Bay area. Similar cultural politics.”
“We have similar tastes in film and books. And then once we got to work on ‘Fruitvale’ ― we were in the foxhole of independent film making ― we realized that we both had a similar style of working as well,” he said.
As the pair continue development for “Wrong Answer,” fans can catch Jordan in Coogler’s “Black Panther,” which hits theaters Feb. 16.
