I don't really know where else to post this…so I decided this is probably the best place. My wife and I recently relocated to Nagoya, we both grew up with major Christian influences and were married by a pastor that has known the family for 10+ years. Despite of both being bi (which is hush-hush in some churches), we'd like to start getting involved in local communities while living in Japan. My wife's background is mainly Methodist, and mine was Lord's Recovery (the Local Churches, aka Witness Lee churches). That being said, spirituality is more important than anything else.
I don't know how many responses I'd get, maybe none? But if you do, please comment with everything you know about the church regarding acceptance. If possible, I'd like to not get hurt again after my own mother condemned me with the absence of God and cut ties with me. Thanks in advance.
