I have to send 5,500 yen cash through post office. I did it before and they charged me a lot because they said if it is cash has to be like that (it is the rule…)
I was thinking this time just put it in the envelope together with some papers and say it is "documents" so they charge me normal fees. After all this is a quite safe country and it is not a big amount.
Does the plan makes sense or is there something I am missing? Thanks
Edit: funny in the post office website it says foreign currency has to be send as ordinary mail:
"Should items sending dollar bills (foreign currency) be sent as currency registration? Please send foreign bank notes as ordinary registered mail."
WTF. Currency さべつｗ
